Amy and Chris’s wedding was our last of 2021 and a welcome return for us to Glenridding in the Lake District. With the Christmas trees and decorations up at the hotel and the threat of snow in the air, it had a very festive feeling. By early morning having completed the getting ready shots it was starting to look touch-and-go whether we’d get the iconic outdoor ceremony at the bandstand. Kudos to Amy and Chris for deciding to brave the elements so that nothing would stop them from getting their dream outdoor ceremony at this fantastic venue. The low sun provided a gentle glow behind the couple during the ceremony with the changing light challenging us to bring our A-Game with the camera settings. See if you can spot our behind-the-scenes shot of us photographing the groom and best man. Although it was very cold we managed to get our couples shots with the snow not putting in an appearance until we did the sparkler exit. All in all hats off to Amy and Chris for being up for helping us get some amazing shots to capture their day and Polo the dog for being so well-behaved. Things got really interesting on the journey home with blizzard conditions on the A66. We had a fab day but and we were glad to get home safe and sound.
