Thanks for dropping in – how can we help you?

You want us to photograph your wedding

It’s not by accident that nearly all of our wedding business comes from guests at other weddings we’ve shot. You have to work with your wedding photographers all day. Pick one that you are going to be able to get along with. One that captures what is unique about you as a couple and makes you the focus of the day. That’s what we do

You need a headshot or profile picture

You know, and we know, that image is everything. Sure you can take a pretty awesome selfie with that phone of yours but you’re looking for something even more special. That’s why you’re looking for a profile pic to be proud of. Great news that’s what we do. Casual or corporate we’ll help you get that perfect pose and capture your best side.

You want to meet Mark & Steve

The Mission Studios brand is about three things.

Great pictures, awesome customer experience and loving the process. We know some people can be nervous in front of a camera – we sometimes do too. What we do is try our hardest to make you feel at ease. That’s how we capture those great smiles you see in our pics.

You would like us to photograph your event

There’s nothing we love more than documenting an event. Not just because we get to meet a lot of amazing people we have a blast telling your story too.

You want portraits of your growing family

Time passes so quickly in the life of a family. The children seem to grow so fast. What better way to capture the precious childhood years than with a family portrait session. Do it for you to remember them before they grow up and make sure you get a shot of you so they can see what you looked like before they gave you wrinkles and turned your hair grey.

You've heard about the Mission Cube

The cube is for you if you are looking for something quirky and contemporary in your portrait photography and everyone who has been in the cube has said it’s the most fun they’ve ever had in a portrait studio.

During the shoot, you’ll climb into the cube and get a variety of shots that capture your unique personality. The magic really happens when you combine the shots and create interactions between the cubes. Parents listening to their kids going nuts in the cube next door. Passing something from one cube to another. It’s like a crazy comic strip and its the latest trend in quirky family portraits.

You need promotional shots for your business

Every business needs high quality images for websites, social media and promotional materials. We know exactly the right kind of images to collect because we are a business ourselves. Let us make capturing your best image our business.

what have we been up to?

Want a Birthday celebration with a difference? Book yourself a portrait party.

A year or so ago - when we were doing the photography for a big PR campaign - we got chatting to the manager who was struggling to find an exciting new activity to entertain the guests at her daughter's 14th birthday party. That's when the idea of the "Portrait Party:...

Michael & Louisa – St Helens Church Low Fell & Marquee in Lamesley

Michael and Louisa's wedding was one we were really looking forward to shooting. We had previously shot Louisa's sister's wedding so we already knew the family. Not so much like working as it was like catching up with old friends. Steve and I love getting new...

Katherine & Christian – North Side Farm

We travelled to Horsely in Northumberland for our first wedding at North Side Farm.  Our pre-wedding scout of the venue inspired us with its timeless charm and we loved how the rustic barn could have been anywhere in the world. We decided to break out the new flash...

Margie & Steve – Holy Trinity Church & North Biddick Club

When we first opened our studio next to Bell's Sandwich shop we got chatting to Margie, one of the lovely ladies behind the counter, and she mentioned she was getting married. Steve and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to shoot the wedding, especially as it was at...

Leanne & Danielle – Crook Hall & Quayside Exchange Sunderland

Leanne and Danielle were our first same-sex couple of the year and their wedding was a truly emotional occasion. The had chosen Crook Hall & Gardens as the venue for the ceremony and the Quayside Exchange for the reception. When Steve and I scouted the venues for...

Rachael & Michael – Matfen Hall

Steve and I love a Matfen Hall wedding. This is our second this year and our lovely couple we're an absolute joy to work with. At our pre-wedding meeting, we discovered that Michael is a football referee so we just had to include that as our theme shot. With my...

Beth & Kieran – Durham Masonic Hall

This was Steve and I's first wedding at Durham Masonic Hall and I have to say - what an amazing venue. The staff are an absolute dream too - especially Kenneth who facilitated the day for Beth & Kieran. It seems to be becoming the thing now that the groom gets the...

Danielle & Craig – Ramside Hall & St George’s Church

Danielle & Craig was our first Church wedding this year. They had decided to get married in the church that their grandparents had used to tie the knot. When I met the couple I asked if there were any particular interests the couple had....

Anna & Euan – Hexham Winter Gardens

When I first met Anna & Euan at the Winter Gardens at Queen Elizabeth High School in Hexham I was taken by what a unique venue it was for a wedding. That's because it doubles as a school dining hall during the week. The venue is a blank canvas on your wedding day...

I love being a wedding Photographer but it’s great to be the guest too

One of the really great things about being a photographer is that you get the chance to attend so many weddings. It's a real honour and privilege to be part of a couples' special day. What do...
